Khanna’s fans also see another asset — he’s a progressive who does not turn off more establishment and moderate elements of the party. It’s an important quality after 2020, when Democratic officials mobilized to stop Sanders from winning the presidential nomination following his success in early-voting states.

Unlike some other high-profile progressives, Khanna’s style has been less combative and more aimed at building relationships with other parts of the Democratic Party. In perhaps an extreme example, in the 2018 primary, Khanna endorsed both then-Rep. Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) and the left-wing challenger who defeated him, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Bernie was the compromise candidate. Khanna would be the compromised candidate.

Fooled me as a :LIB: in the 2010s, not going to be fooled anymore.

Went politically blackpilled (at least in the US/Europe, things seem to be getting better in latin america) a month ago lol, I know "Progressive" automatically turns off 90% of the country so even if Khanna was legit he wouldn't win.

of course you can't treat social democrats in the imperial cores like social democrats in the imperialized South. We know what happens when radical change happens in South America, they get couped by the CIA. I only support succdems in the West only if they clearly state their anti Imperialism, Corbyn definitely while Sanders was shitty, but hey free college and healthcare is what the majority of Sanders supporters cared about.

Free college and healthcare, all by themselves, would give people dramatically more education, more freedom, and more resources to, like, organize politically. It'd take some of the weight off the shoulders of the working class and give them time to do union shit and stuff.

Lol, you've voted for president before?

Should be like me and plan to, but then get too depressed and beat down to manage to actually go vote, and then condescend to people who DID vote

It's okay man we all make mistakes. Electoralism is a hell of a drug. Just join us in voting for Mickey Mouse next time.

If we all write in "Henry kissinger's corpse" and we win the election, would they have to kill him?
