"Communists are evil! They took my servants from me!" :kiddo

this is dumb because Batman is already a technocratic finance imperialist like Bill Gates, and was already gay camp in the '90s. Fake fan zoomers don't know anything about Batman

For real, this (intentional?) misunderstanding of what is meant by "birthing people" always bothers me. They think we're reducing women to being walking wombs when that's what they're doing- we're just including trans men in a relevant category

I miss camp gay batman. It was actually fun. Or camp gay goth batman, which was also fun.

A lot of chud jokes come down to "this person is gay or a woman or both"

But it's not the fun, sophisticated way of calling one another gay like we do

“Communists are evil! They took my servants from me!” :kiddo

Saw this on an episode of Padma Lakshmi's libbrained food show about immigrant cuisines in the US. There was a cursed episode on Cuba released not too long ago, and it's the most deranged thing I've seen. Just because of how utterly ignorant it pretends to be. At one point in the show she's talking to people in "the first wave of Cuban immigration" who tell sob stories about how tough it was to adapt to living in the US. She asks them how they learned to cook, and they said "we were forced to learn how to cook when we got to the US" and there is not a single eyebrow raised or follow up question as to how a bunch of adults would have to learn cooking basics as a result of fleeing Cuba. There's also some interviews of MAGAhead gusanos who came over in the Mariel boatlift and no real discussions of the implications there, except for one of them who said he came over during the boatlift because he was in jail for being gay.

This confuses me because homosexuality was decriminalized in Cuba in 1979 and wasn't decriminalized in Amerika until like 2001

Yeah, if you didn't really know much about Cuba's history (aka almost every American), then you basically watch an entirely different episode of this show vs someone who does.

Yeah, if you didn’t really know much about Cuba’s history (aka almost every American)

Americans don't know American history, ffs. And if you try to teach it to them, Texas will threaten to throw you in jail.

    Batman's major villains are:

    • A crippled foreigner
    • A two-faced politician
    • A woman who will rob you and bail
    • A smug guy who asks you annoying questions
    • An eco-terrorist
    • A Mexican Wrestler on Drugs
    • An Evil Clown who keeps getting let out of prison

The conservative wet dream. But they still can't just take the W and be happy. They've got to keep whining about how Batman isn't... straight enough? Jesus.

Penguin. He's typically described as an Eastern European migrant with physical deformities that make him look/walk/act like his moniker.

a fitting one for Ra’s Al Ghul would be “leader of middle eastern terrorist group”. probably the closest to that conservative wet dream than any of the other villains

A vasectomy is one of the best things you can get as a male who has a partner who can become pregnant. There are few side effects and it's relatively noninvasive. Not to mention hormonal birth control can really fuck you up and compared to its female analog it's way less invasive (not to mention way more reversible). My father and uncle have had them done, growing up I figured it's just what men (who can impregnate their partners) do when they and their partner decide it's time to stop having kids.

    So snip snip :knifecat:

It was the clear ethical choice for me after seeing how fucked up vaginal/uterine birth control is. My ex had a copper IUD dislodge and was doubled over in pain as I drove her to and from the clinic to get it reinserted. Hormonal BC before that messed with her mentally. Someone shouldn't have to endure either to avoid the risks/cost/life-alteration that having a kid entails. The lidocaine shot was pain in a place I'm not used to feeling pain, but I casually chatted with the urologist across the fifteen minutes it took for a vasectomy and only felt dull tugging. Walked out of the clinic, drove myself home, controlled the pain with a CBD vape pen for all of three days, and then I was back to normal within a week. Less scary and traumatic than getting my wisdom teeth extracted.

I hear you. My partner controls her PMDD with hormonal birth control and we're still not 100% sure if we want to have biological children or not but I would get it snip snapped in a moment otherwise
