Critical support for rising sea levels in its fight against Florida.

It's hard to even fault Democrats. Republicans are going to romp in November solely on the "masks, vaccine mandates and lockdowns are bad" message. The US is a nation of spoiled children that have never been told no and this is the result. No policy implementation could have changed this outcome. The US is a blight on the world.

People don't want to be slightly inconvenienced by wearing a mask. If we had kept spring 2020 level virus control protocols in place it would be even worse. The US is beyond redemption.

I'm sorry but your position is naive. If we had done full China zero covid response and a million people hadn't died the "but at what cost" folks would be winning even harder.

Fuck em, we'd have not-murdered a million+ people and probably saved the rest of the planet a lot of pain from us being a turbo evolution petri dish

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm not being an apologist for Democrats, just pointing out what a giant sack of garbage the average American is.

When some of them want a nuclear exchange with Russia, and believe they could win, I knew the peace time truly make them entitle.

Do they even realize that they are basically acting like how they perceive liberals? As self-entitled "me me me" people that have no regard for civic duty and consider that oppression.

MFW everyone is getting COVID because the actually smart people lost a culture war to legions of idiots.

I used to think individualism was a flawless thing, but now I want enough collectivism so people can act like adults instead of every time we get a solution, large swathes of people disobey for the sake of "nyah nyah! I can do whatever I want and no one tells ME what to do!*"

The point is the nothing that they did has been seen as government overreach by a really huge portion of the electorate. We all know the Democrats are beyond reforming. The comment is to illustrate how individualism is literally the only American value.

He seems to want to do more on a platform level than most democratic governors, but his record is such conservative democrat shit that you're voting for a republican who hates gay people slightly less vocally.

edit: Lmao, he was a republican until 2010. Democracy.

And he was literally already the Florida governor, as a Republican. He sucked. Our choices are “Damp Hitler” and “The same guy as 15 years ago that was bad at the job then”

      Triangulation brain.

They are locked in on the “Clinton ‘92” brain 30 years later and are ignoring the last 30 years of triangle brain failures.

Colorado swung pretty blue after legalizing cannabis. It's not a safe bet, but it's drawn a lot of libs from other states and conservatives are fleeing for TX and other red states.

florida has more registered democrats but the state is so thoroughly gerrymandered and ratfucked that it doesn't matter.

also it doesn't matter for all the other reasons, too. like both parties being bourgeois. like voting just being an expression of preference in a small field of bourgeois candidates, blah blah blah. nobody's represented.

I tell boomer dems this and it breaks their fucking brains despite living through it. They have literally retconned their own lives to make WV into having always been a hooting reactionary republican state, it's fucking amazing.

I'm pretty sure that the passing of NAFTA alone did more damage to West Virginia than the Sackler-family did. It's wild how much the Dems fucked over that state, and then just decided that meant that the people there were bad and didn't deserve help.

Pretty sure it's mostly the biggest "winners" and "losers" in the new economy moving there specifically because it's a GOP hellhole, spurred on by the feedback loop of information from the Web and right-wing media confirming in real time that it is rapidly becoming their hellish version of a utopia. So I think that shift is probably one of the swifter ones in US history.

One of the first states to legalize gay marriage and top public schools to actual maga hogs in less than a decade
