I watched a bit. It was basically "ya global warming is really bad, but a small number of developed countries are reducing CO2 emissions, and also there's all this unproven technology that can change everything". The last point is the keystone of every liberal cope on global warming.

I mean yeah, I think some miracle tech is more likely than systemic change and personally I'm gonna believe in it because the alternative is doomerism.

It's cope, but like, what else can I do?

#1. The worst won't happen! We'll hit like 3°C warming, tops. Promise. Yes, large portions of the Earth won't be able to sustain agriculture and there will be hundreds of millions of climate refugees, but it won't be a LITERAL extinction event. We will definitely maintain "civilization" through this.

#2. There's less coal power plants, and we can run cargo ships at half speed to we don't burn as much bunker oil. We built a lot of renewables! Not nearly enough, but I'm sure technology rise again on the 3rd degree and save our souls. Also the market is happy so far so really god is with us.

#3. The EU and other rich anglo countries had a fall in the total rate of emissions! And they still had GPD growth! Yes, we acknowledge this is because of exporting manufacturing to the 3rd world. It's fine because we can sell them our Jesus-tech we made with our powerful brains when Capitalism finally makes the 3rd world rich and then they won't have to pollute any more.

#4. Look, we built the carbon capture fans. They technically work. We're trying. Just imagine what'll happen when everyone gets their shit together. It'll be great.

#5. It's not hopeless just pls hang there. You just have to vote. Don't give up. It'll be ok, please stop crying. We still have time, please we are going to work this out bby pls

Also there's Duck Zordon and I don't like it.

ah, i always love these "we won't actually die, we'll just be forced to live lifes of drudgery in an inhospitable wasteland" arguments.

Nothing about a Carbon Tax? These types usually think that a Carbon Tax will actually fix anything.

I asked them in their AMA why they accept money from known Jeffrey Epstein associate Bill Gates and they said "Alex Jones this u?" Just incredible how untouched by all that Gates is, people just ignore his relationship with Epstein

It got like 4 upvotes and I got downvoted lol. It's actually really interesting that they replied to me at all because i commented pretty late into it.
