Please ignore some of the weird artifacts. GIMP is far from ideal, but at the same time, the artifacts give it a bit of charm and character.
Is it an issue with GIMP? Looks like it's aliased, probably need to filter it a bit before resampling.
Oh, I see, the artifacts are present in the base image and you just adjusted the colors. I don't think it's anything you did. You'd have to go back to whatever files were used to create the logo originally.
If I had saved the .xcf file like a smart person, I would probably go back and add a shadow/glow effect around the lettering to hide most of that.
The border stuff seems to fit the aesthetic.
I use krita for things like this, it looks a bit better and has a transparency marker
This is good. I firmly believe the baby nursery blues and pinks on the trans flag need to be replaced with like hot pink and neon blue.
