Nah, those guys have been dead for 30 years. Somalia still has problems but the days of the warlords are, more or less, over. Now it's the government vs Al-Shabab. I haven't checked in for a few years but I think the government is winning, and generally speaking things are better and more stable now.
Honestly there is very little that would aleviate the chuds in Europe quite like a stable Somalia where all the refugees who have been here since the 90s can be returned to. Especially because Somalis are the most hated people group by far, since they sit in the sweet-spot of being both African and Muslim, which is enough to get them pretty isolated.
That sucks. Somalis in Minneapolis are an important part of the community. I can't imagine Minneapolis without the Somali diaspora. It wouldn't be the same city, and it'd be worse off for it.
