Hunter × Hunter (ハンター×ハンター, Hantā Hantā), pronounced "Hunter Hunter", is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since March 16, 1998, although the manga has frequently gone on extended hiatuses since 2006. As of November 2019, 392 chapters have been collected into 37 tankōbon volumes (chapter collections) by Shueisha in Japan. The story focuses on a young boy named Gon Freecss, who discovers that his father, who he was told had left him at a young age, is actually a world renowned Hunter, a licensed profession for those who specialize in, but are not limited to, fantastic pursuits such as locating rare or unidentified animal species, treasure hunting, surveying unexplored enclaves, or hunting down lawless individuals. Despite being abandoned by his father, Gon departs upon a journey to follow in his footsteps, pass the rigorous Hunter Exam, and eventually find his father. Along the way, Gon meets various other Hunters, including main cast members Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua, and also encounters the paranormal. The original inspiration for the manga came from Togashi's own collecting hobby.

After a four-year hiatus, Hunter x Hunter, Yoshihiro Togashi joined Twitter on Monday and appeared to tease 4 new chapters of the series.

All the old people I know who leave the house spend their retirement hanging out with the squad. They’ll do shit like go to a diner at 6am every day with the same people and order a single egg and a piece of bacon and then keep refilling coffee for 4 hours.

A bunch of neuroscientists literally did a study asking people if they’d support killing dogs for a payout as long as no one was watching them and when autistic people said no at a way higher rate than allistic people, they said, “Here, we show that ASD individuals are more inflexible when following a moral rule although an immoral action can benefit themselves, and experience an increased concern about their ill-gotten gains and the moral cost.” They also refer to the allistic control group as “healthy”, which I understand has a specific meaning in the context of the research, but is still gross

Ok so I'm worried about SorosFootSoldier. He was leaving rehab on the 20th, but haven't heard from him since then. He was trying to get into a halfway house but wasn't officially accepted and a lot of shit was up in the air. I was talking to him almost daily when in rehab, but I haven't heard from him in days. Worrisome. His voicemail is full so I can't leave a message. And texts go unanswered. Same with his fb account. Not sure what to do. Just... stop trying to contact him and wait? Keep pressing and trying to communicate with the place he was in? (they refuse to say he was even there - understandable). I don't know. I'm really lost, and I hope he isn't even more so.

I can't fucking deal with this. Everything about this school shooting is so fucked. Those poor kids. The total life ruining trauma the survivors will carry. The parents who begged the cops to do something and were punished. I'm at work and i don't know what the fuck I'm even here for. These horrible things are happening and we just have to go to work and act like everything is fine. I can't stop shaking in impotent rage and sadness. I keep having to go to the bathroom to cry because god forbid anyone acknowledge something is wrong. Fuck

Took first steps toward exiting hell-country today.

Last night, when I saw 4 chan pushing the "killer was trans" narrative, and that narrative got pushed on TV- that was my breaking point. I began filing the paperwork and I'm talking to an immigration lawyer tomorrow. I had been planning to leave for a while, but now it feels like I have to ASAP.

Every time I see a trans person labeled as a "pedo" in a politicians speech I get sick. The dehumanization has begun, and instead of de-platforming these pigs and calling them out for their scummy behavior, the libs shrug and say "Well it's free speech, what can ya do?"

People like me mean nothing to libs, and every instinct in my body is screaming "It can and will happen here, run."

Some of my friends already left. The rest are forming mutual aid networks. IDK, I'm just in shock.

if you can that's probably the safest course of action. obviously nazi germany is a strong comparison, but it feels like there's no way out of the fascistic death spiral we're in as a nation, and trans people are going to be among the first to go

I don’t feel like it will be a strong comparison for long tbh. Maybe the pendulum is about to swing back, but the trajectory we’re on ends in internment camps

yeah, it seems likely to me that there'll be a mix. we already have concentration camps, but i do think it'll be easier to encourage vigilantism against undesirables than to set up more camps. there might be some legit backlash to the latter, but the former is already happening, and liberals wouldn't believe it if it got worse.

i mean, we already have those, they just aren't aimed at citizens yet. i was mostly just softening things a little. this is something i've said to my liberal family, who never actually refute what i say but just refuse to acknowledge it as a possibility, so it's mostly a habit to equivocate a little.

Nah, Tennessee just passed a slave procurement law that makes it a felony punishable by six years to sleep in a public park. We're there, it's just taking time to spread.

Everybody's saying 'Why did the cops just stand outside??? Why didn't they do anything?' without taking into consideration that the shooter could have been a Nazi chud. Like, why would the police want to kill a nazi? Think motherfucker.

How much fucking waste is happening to send me pounds of ads in the mail every fucking week? How much JUST FOR ME? How much for the rest of the building? The city? The state? The country? Who even looks at them longer than it requires to realize that it's a fucking ad and not legitimate mail? I don't, and I struggle to believe any one else does. Just absolute insanity.

    Most efficient system though!!! :so-true:

If your recipe calls for half an onion, i'm sorry, I'm just using the whole onion. Otherwise I need to save half an onion, remember I have it, and plan a whole meal around using it. My life simply isn't put together enough for all that. :shrug-outta-hecks:
