Everyone in this incident was varying degrees of asshole, and it involved someone being shot in a school
So yes, peak American
For real, depends on how old the kid was but young kids can be fucking psychos and still grow up to be normal, empathetic people. Especially with something like a sparrow, an 8- or 10-year-old kid who doesn't have a pet itself might simply not understand just how awful of an action that is and just do it because it was told not to.
Seriously, I know this is really bad but kids are really dumb and generally have no idea what they're doing. Can't even blame the parent.
Also kids shouldn't be strangled to death for stepping on a bird
The small amount of text does make it sound intentional, but to be clear I’m not saying the kid deserved it either way
Ya agree not at all was the father an asshole. I mean I guess he should've killed the strangler not at school we're other kids were but other than that you strangle my kid... Well what do you expect.
He shot and killed a person. Revenge killings aren't good, let the justice system handle it
The sparrow was counted, the sparrow killing demon-child wasn't.
It was tame because the master (presumably) trained it to trust people. And then a person betrayed its trust... :cri: :deeper-sadness:
Imagine watching this kid smirk through your class everyday knowing he intentionally stomped on your favorite bird. Obviously strangling him was an extreme escalation, but I can empathize with the lizard-brained impulse.
This is a plot from a fuckin Coen Brothers movie, and you can't tell me otherwise.
Modern equivalent: Armed Ohio teacher shoots student on suspicion of stealing their meth.
Based schoolmaster was taking out the trash, if only the chud dad had recognized that he was being done a favor
Yeaa wasnt looking forward to hearing about a little kid getting strangled to death
This was actually the inspiration for that simon and garfunkel song.
no i just made that up
ooh what a lovely little sparrow
and who will write its eulogy?
