0 to 500 cases in 2 weeks, they couldnt control the frat parties, now 7% of the students have it. In person classes have been "temporarily suspended" since 100 cases so I hope that 1 week of teaching was worth it
school administrators: "the important thing is that you received some instruction so we can deny your request for a tuition refund."
the media and school administrations will amplify stories about frat parties and irresponsible students in order to deflect blame. this will be used to justify not refunding tuition/fees as it will become "conventional wisdom" that it's those dumb young kids' own fault, not the fault of the government refusing to keep schools closed or administrators implementing ineffective distancing/remote learning plans. fuck !!!!
felt like solving a word problem and found that your school has about 7142 students
my school is one of the lucky ones, I think we have 1 case right now, just because we had zero party culture before this and it was already around 35% commuter anyways. Campus has never been crowded, most classes are online, and I'm only in the dorms to get away from my transphobic family lol.
Just found out theres another school in the same town with only 3 cases. Incredible
