    The ONLY way something like this could ever be stopped, is if Non-Whites, Gays, Trans, free-thinking women, etc., all spent a few months on /pol/ or frankly even worse sites–in order to realize what they actually want to do.

    most of us see every day there's people who want to murder us. It's the cracker-ass "best of all possible worlds" cishet libs that need the reality check. I haven't been on 4chan in a decade, but what you're describing here isn't anything new except for the term wignat. It's been this way years before gamergate etc. and it was always obvious to me that these people were the cadres on the very front of the neo-fash wave that's been surging ever since. every mass shooter manifesto reeked off them, it was so fucking obvious what they were up to and none of the libs ever listened when you told them. but if you told queer people, if you told bipoc people, they were always aware of what these worms are like and what they want.

      Some do, but many of them don't seem to be all that aware. A lot of people seem to...lack a certain anger, a certain urgency. IDK.

        i'm afraid some of them do, yes. there's also some that have their heart in the right place, but are just horribly naive. these are in a perfect position for a wakeup call rn and i think we as leftists need to make clear what is at stake, that we're reaching a tipping point where liberal democracy as we commonly understand it* may fail in the US and that this failure means it's either socialism or barbarism from then on out. some of them still won't get it, but when shit is coming down the left needs every last woman, man and nonbinary person that can be brought over to the side that doesn't want to return to the plantation era.
