Among at least SOME, that idea seems to be catching on slightly.

Like, my brother is a hyper-partisan Warren lib who doesn't identify as progressive. A few months ago my parents were questioning why progressives disliked Biden so much, and before I could even say anything he started laying it out and saying "next time this happens, progressive shouldn't vote Dem. They have every right to be SO mad right now"

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my brother works in politics and is a SELF-DESCRIBED democratic operative lmao. To put it into even more perspective lmao

Especially in solid blue states I think this could work on the state level, at least as much as electoralism ever can

Republicans may have a few strongholds in blue states but they're mostly a joke, the only time they ever win any office like mayor or governor is when the dems fuck up a bit too bad

Just completely reject the national party after taking it over on the local level and keep doing that until there are no regular chud republicans at any level of state government

If this catches on we could call ourselves John Brown Republicans, fuck MAGA because :amerikkka: was never great but maybe we can restore the only shard of good the republican party ever had
