      Also they don't tend to them afterwards and don't put them in actually important areas. Expanding wetlands, connecting different forests to greatly increase habitat range, ect. Planting trees in plains type areas with limited rainfall and water hardly sinks any carbon.

      They also don't do the one thing that's needed, which is to reclaim land from private owners to give the forests room to grow. Planting trees is not the important part, they plant themselves when they have room. Planting trees is a product of needing to cram increasing amounts of trees into limited space. "Repairing Existing Public Land" is just a holding action if you aren't also appropriating new public land. Just like building more renewable energy doesn't mean shit if you aren't aggressively shutting down fossil fuel plants.
