George Washington? He didn’t have pronouns. Thomas Jefferson? He didn’t have pronouns. Paul Bunyan? He didn’t have pronouns. NONE of the founding FATHERS had PRONOUNS❕
George Washington had no pronouns. George Washington always insisted that everyone use George Washington's name every time they were referring to George Washington.
they equate pronouns with personal acknowledgement of what one's preferred pronouns are. they're against any kind of statement of a person's pronouns, instead they want it to be understood based on a person's assigned gender and nothing else. I've heard them say shit like "natural pronouns" and "biological pronouns" because they're transphobic and need to be buried in a hole in the woods
Because they think pronouns means neopronouns and they hate people who use them.
Literacy tests for politics are bad, but sometimes I understand the appeal

That’s right. Could you imagine if they gave a list of pronouns to the British? They would’ve gotten smoked!

Ah yes, I’m sure the words “He, Him, His” are never used in the Bible, definitely not capitalized in a slightly creepy show of submission when referring to god
Anti-intellectualism is so pervasive in the US it's crazy
People are so mad about trans people existing that they're waging a culture war against a basic part of speech, openly declaring they don't understand something that was taught in middle school
