The :reddit-logo: politics thread about her 'thinking about running for prez' has a lot of nerds going on about her character

      These people are fucking idiots

"Well, at least they dug a grave for me" I say of the Nazis that lined me and 50 other people up in front of a ditch

I hope so. Then they can both win in all the ways that count (except getting the presidency). Fucking losers.

it's so fuckin funny how many libs straight up loose elections pretty badly and then decide, "you know what, I can be president actually." Delusions of grandeur is so goddamn ripe in this country. And you know thousands of libs will throw hella money at someone like her cause she is "one of the good ones, actually!"

This actually seems more likely. He could just dump Kamala and get Liz in exchange. Only people upset by this would be K-Hive and they don't matter anyway lol

The harder a candidate loses, the harder Libs insist they're actually perfect for the next election. Beto ate shit in Texas? Run him again, and again. Amy McGrath ate shit in Kentucky? Run her again! And again. Libs will spend the next 50 years going "HILLARY WARNED US!!" as if only her total wipeout in 2016 could have foreseen Trump being a bonkers president.

Libs don't just want celebrity politicians, they want martyrs, and the harder you martyr yourself, the more you deserve to win in their eyes. But they can't tell the difference between "deserving" to win and actually being capable of winning!

It's not that they're wrong - it's that everyone else is wrong. Running again is just so they can win this time, and prove they were right all along.

That they lose again, it's just further proof that everyone else is wrong except them. It's an unjust world hurling sand in their eyes.

Beto lost so hard he literally ate holy dirt to cope with it, it got in the news and then they decided to run him again.

All this bullshit about optics and they run a guy who is publicly known to have lost to Ted Cruz and handled it by taking a pilgrimage to a shrine in Mexico, ate the dirt(you're only supposed to touch it) and brought home leftovers for his wife and kid.

They're so far into the "politics as sports" metaphor that they're talking about quality losses.

Opinion writer at the NY times sounds like the easiest stupid fucking job of all time.

Just have a thought and type it out with zero research. Hell yeah whatever you can just say anything

It's actually more difficult than you would think. You have to have the wrong opinion at all times, which is statistically a marvel. One would think they would stumble into the truth once in awhile.

yeah but you have the unfair advantage of being the sort of person who would write for the NYT opinion page, your more predisposed to having the wrong opinion than most other people
