I had the notion earlier this week that elements of the far right recognised that they have very little support among women and that the left (socialist) has significantly higher support among women than men (here in the UK this is true at least).

This led me to the belief that this "REAL WOMEN" thing is actually partially about creating a fascist segment of women within society.

Also I hate to invoke harry potter but going through people's family history and records to check whether they are or are not a real pure blood has the same energy as the fascist supporters of Voldemort.

They were going to go there as soon as the trans panic became what it is. No way a society as nosey as the US is going to leave them alone without trying to "authenticate" them.

know it isn't really the main issue here, but the culture surrounding high school sports in america seems completely bonkers to me

What's insane is that it can very likely aid a student in college admissions. I, for one, don't care about the "right to sport" in abstract, but participating in extracurriculars like sports can be very impactful to someone's life's trajectory in this way.

that what happens when college sports offers the potential for free or discounted tuition.

Parents live life vicariously through their children because they all wasted their life away

It is and I remember kids moving to different states because their parents wanted them to have a better chance at getting a football scholarship. The parents are almost always more obsessed with it than their kid is.

this isn't significantly different from how they treat trans kids who win in sporting events. in every case, someone loses fair and square, and then complains that they should have won because of a technicality in the rules.

unfair advantage is when you take antiandrogens

Spatafore said the association has received other complaints, some that said “that female athlete doesn’t look feminine enough.”

this makes me think its very likely this girl is not white

adults poring over every inch of underaged girls to determine whether or not they are feminine enough is exceptional level pedo shit, death to everyone involved

also without checking there is a 95% chance you're right

god i fucking hate transphobes so much im scared as hell at the current coordinated movement

obviously transphobia is not new but it seems very deiberate and organized right now rather than just being the default cultural assumption

“Quite frankly, this is new ground for us. I’m not going to say that we have it down pat, because I have no clue. I don’t think any of us in the office have a clue if we have it down pat. What we want to do is we just want to try to do our job,” he said.

And you can go join all the others in history who "just followed orders." :pit::trans-gun: :stalin-gun-2:

    1. Google the names of the politicians who passed the law
    2. Find kids of theirs who play sports
    3. Find the name of every single kid on those teams
    4. Report all of them

The articles says they don’t notify the parents or the children and they can’t punish an entire team if they’ve all been accused. Seems like the easiest way to get these fuckwads’ attention
