Why didn't "the responsible adults in the room" start the transition to a substantiate energy system thirty years ago?

Why didn’t “the responsible adults in the room” start the transition to a substantiate energy system thirty years ago?

Because it was more profitable to do nothing but subsidize bazinga vanity projects and call it green capitalism. :eco-porky:

Second time this article comes around and everybody gets their dunk in on the author. Meanwhile, a few days ago the "abandon Arizona" thread gets lots of engagement. Make up your mind. Are we doing sacrifice zones or not?

Brunch liberals love their "actually bad thing is good" contrarian :very-intelligent: articles and only mix them up with "actually good thing is bad" and in both cases it's always apologia for neoliberalism slowly destroying society and the habitability of life on Earth. Dunking on the poor and their concerns makes them giggly. :elmofire: :elmofire: :elmofire: :maybe-later-honey: :elmofire: :elmofire: :elmofire:
