If I was in charge of Britain I would simply plan ahead to be less dependent on natural gas from a country I'm in a military alliance against by investing in green energy so that people won't freeze to death if we want to sanction that country.

iirc the author optimistically believes that climate change deniers will recognize they're wrong when their house is suddenly below the sea. i do not share that sentiment.
