Just need more exposure to theory

Usually internet anarchists like that are just deeply upset with capitalism but don't really know how to direct that frustration. And since they're terminally online it leads to silly stuff

Anarchism to them doesn't represent its revolutionary message or its true goals it just represents an outlet of anti-establishment feelings and unhappiness. They aren't anarchists, they could be but they need to fucking learn more and stop being tools of the very thing they oppose.

This shit drives more and more of them to reject anarchism as they slowly learn theory because they don't want to be associated with these people. I want them to find a new name for their group as a lightning rod, they could do a lot of good. Vanguardist Anarchism or something.

The people who learn more, call themselves marxists, and then agree with all the prefigurationist, anti-violence, and abolitionist things I say really shows that no one understands what anarchism is except burnt out anarchists radicalized 10 years ago.

I really believe that there is a way to distinguish between the current trend in online "anarchism" and its obviously problematic lack of any theory whatsoever and those that move on to learning theory. This theory-led anarchist group can function as an anarchist vanguard if they distinguish themselves so that like-minded people come and coordinate their efforts together as a group.

It would also be possible to argue this group is historically closer to the most successful anarchists in history as Makhno himself was distinctly different to anarchists of his time as he agreed with Lenin's vanguard theory. I don't think I need to make the case for how vanguardism was also major in Spain given the collaboration between communists and anarchists.

A separate name would also prompt people into learning what that name is, why that group exists, and what they believe. This itself would cause some of these anarchists to learn.

After watching the patsocs manage to distinguish themselves on vibes alone I really don't think this would be very difficult when the groups exist already. The well-learned anarchists feel politically homeless alongside these fucking ""anarchists"" doing and saying dumb shit like vocally supporting nato.

Makhno didn't write "the platform" until after the civil war, as sort of a "what we wished we'd done."

That said, I don't think you influence people by separating yourself from them, but by engaging in struggle with them. The task isn't to create a purer "anarchist" line, it's to engage baby anarchists in anarchist projects so they become radicalized through common struggle with fellow workers, non-humans, and more experienced anarchists. BLM did more for actual anarchist consciousness than any anarchist vanguard ever could.

It's not about creating a purer line it's about creating a beacon to gather likeminded anarchists into a space where they produce less polluted content educate in an anarchist way that is distinguished from the existing current.

Among communists we have the average socialist but then we have the dedicated revolutionary vanguard - party members. These party members aren't "purer" socialists they are just well educated ones taking on the task in an organised way. It is necessary to distinguish them from the average socialist though in order to gather the like-minded ones together so they can actually achieve the job they set out to do of guiding the movement as a whole.

Obviously the idea of forming an anarchist party is bullshit but setting apart some sort of group that functions as a vanguard is important. This group does not exist right now, the entire movement is adrift at sea and the only vanguard doing real work with it are the CIA.

My point is that you can't get these like minded people together without giving them a name so they can organise around that name.

people with degrees from reddit university love too not know what "the humanities" actually refers to. literally everything the roman statue avis pretend to care about is covered by the humanities.

i guess it makes sense that the site that birthed /r/atheism would think that Le Science encompasses the entirety of legitimate human intellectual endeavors.

Some sciences are too soft for the average :reddit-logo: STEM stan, like biology most of the time (unless it's used as a clumsy bludgeon against trans people). I've even seem then look down upon sciences that are too hard if they're too abstract and theoretical and are therefore not likely to produce treats or the "singularity" nerd rapture any time soon.

They also don't seem to like the math part of STEM all that much, especially if it's too abstract and theoretical. May as well be called TrEat.

          Techbro's guide to STEM:

          • Science: Immortality! So they can consume treats forevermore

          • Technology: Video game, VR, gadgets like in those cool cyber punk game, submissive AI servant/girlfriend

          • Engineering: Car, car tunnel, car infrastructure, flying car, space car, sexbot body for their AI slave

          • Mathematics: Empirical™ proof that letting people in the equators die from climate collapse is the most logical course of action, actually.

Engineering is usually what these people care about. Coincidentally, engineers are much more likely to be right wing :thinkin-lenin: (in my experience)

Engineering tends to be so cut and dry with how stuff works, and I think the average emgineer is looking for that kind of certainty. Sciences and the humanities tend to be much more wishywashy, and you tend to not be able to answer questions with absolute certainty.

I think the mindset of engineers and many nurses/doctors are quite similar in regards to the desire for something cut and dry. Many (most?) premed students struggle with classes like organic chemistry, in which getting an answer requires (depending on the course obv) lots of flexible thinking. Idk if thats really a real trend but I'm curious if others have had the same thoughts.

When you combine this with the fact that she mostly posts in reactionary subs, it just means that she's very, very kind to Matt Walsh and Steven Crowder fanbois and fits right in on their subs.

Edit: In other words, you could use the kindness meter to check if somebody goes to these places mostly to troll / push back against the ideas there (low kindness, as their comments will get downvoted a lot) or if they're one of the regular posters there (high kindness, as they get le epic updoots from the fascists).

the title of her other posts about it is really funny. tell me you've never met a trans lesbian without telling me.

oh and surprise she doesn't actually care about the well-being of trans people, has no posts on /r/actuallesbians, and her sole other hobby besides sucking off matt walsh on reddit is lying about about medical transition research; it says right in the results section that a third of subjects had "additional gynecological indications," i.e. reasons to get a hysto other than transing their gender

Stalin was undouptly homophobic but i doupt he thought about lgbt people and issues more than a couple of times in his life . He most likely didnt personaly order people to gulags for being gay or personaly reinstated the criminalization laws. Sadly the majority of the party on every level was homophobic and the vast majority of the population as well .So the decriminalization of homosexuality that happened as part of throwing out all the old tsarist laws and not reinstating a relevant new one immediately was rolled back not by Stalin's orders ,which i havent seen a source of, but by general party decisions that reflected both its composition and the beliefs of the masses sadly. In various Soviet republics criminalization of homosexuality popped back up independently before the "stalin recriminalized homosexuality" thing people talk about which was actualy a more central law change

I worried that actuallesbians would be easy pickings for TERFs because the sub name is a little bit easy to turn it terfy, but they seem cool. I think twoX was also trans-positive despite the name, but I haven't checked recently.

IIRC the "actual" in "actuallesbians" is because r/lesbians has been a porn subreddit from very early on, so it refers to the posters actually being lesbians (instead of primarily cishet men posting about lesbian porn)

TwoX is good about trans issues and users. Obviously the name is unfortunate lol. I don't think they were thinking about excluding anyone when they set up the sub, but if you were to guess without any prior knowledge which subs were full of terfs you'd definitely guess a sub like 2xc was.
