Earlier today, Florida's governor sent 50 migrants to Massachussetts as a political stunt. This seems like there is some coordinated event going on now.
The only way to think that doing this is a good idea is to think that these people you're shipping across the country for a political stunt literally are not people.

Also, part of Trump's "stolen election" conspiracy theory was that Democrats were busing migrants to big "sanctuary cities". That did not happen, but now republicans are busing migrants to the big cities.

The way the chuds see it, Texas is Ground Zero of the 'barbarian invasion.' The fragile libs out on the coasts don't understand what it's like to have to live near migrant laborers with their unintelligible languages and spicy foods. That's very similar to how conservatives talk about the migrants in my Central American country. The argument is that they're low-lifes who spread crime and drugs wherever they go. There's a lot of popular support to have the police and military forcefully deport them because of it.
It's hypocrisy mongering as far as I can tell. The implication is Harris will use force to remove the immigrants from around her house, instead of letting them inside to live there. A common conservative retort to believing immigrants are people is "would you let them in your house?"
The idea there is if you don't want strangers in your house, this somehow translates to not wanting immigrants in your country. There's also an implication immigrants simply are not human and only cause problems.
I've been overhearing conservative hogs at work laugh about this all day, saying stuff like "now they're her problem!" Because immigrants existing near you is somehow an implicit problem to solve.
