Earlier today, Florida's governor sent 50 migrants to Massachussetts as a political stunt. This seems like there is some coordinated event going on now.

The only way to think that doing this is a good idea is to think that these people you're shipping across the country for a political stunt literally are not people.

If Biden had some fucking balls he'd send the fucking feds on them for human trafficking. The executive branch has so much power, with zero oversight, I would love it if they used it for good sometime.

Biden should federalize the Texas national guard and put them in Dallas/houston exurbs to protect against “gun violence” or something

The suffering is the point. They told these families they were going to Boston and homes + jobs waiting for them there.

Very completely normal and not cruel, unusual, and utterly barbaric, that a US politician can fire busses full of brown people around like missiles

Given the conditions in Texas prison-camps and the number of people the state is killing in its efforts to close the border, this shit seems absolutely quaint by comparison.

You're talking about a Governor who orders state police to patrol the desert and destroy caches of drinking water to ensure fewer people survive in the desert. A Governor that keeps green-lighting prisons known its rotating staff of pedophile guards. A guy that practically brags about how a high border death rate discourages migrants.

Putting 50 people on a bus and sending them to Virginia is the least evil thing this guy has done since he took statewide office.

Doesn't this just give Kamala free pr? What level of :brainworms: made them think this would be bad for the dems rather then letting them pretend to care for free?

It doesn't even make sense because Kamala famously said :volcel-kamala:
      None of it makes sense.

The migrants were from Venezuela and fleeing sanctions that the US placed on Venezuela. These people were trying to escape economic hardship that the US created at their home.

Also, part of Trump's "stolen election" conspiracy theory was that Democrats were busing migrants to big "sanctuary cities". That did not happen, but now republicans are busing migrants to the big cities.

What they are doing is probably not even legal. I can't say for sure but it seems like this could be considered human trafficking. Gavin Newsom just announced that he's asking the Federal government to investigate this.

It's not supposed to make sense, it's supposed inflict cruelty on vulnerable people. Chuds want to do cruelty on immigrants, they don't care if the reasoning makes sense.

Abbott going down because he accidentally did human trafficking when he was trying to do something else stupid and evil would be hilarious

The way the chuds see it, Texas is Ground Zero of the 'barbarian invasion.' The fragile libs out on the coasts don't understand what it's like to have to live near migrant laborers with their unintelligible languages and spicy foods. To them, this is just saying "Let's see how they like it!" as if there aren't tons of undocumented immigrants in any major port city and surrounding metro area as well. As if I don't hear people speaking Polish, Russian, Spanish, and Hindi every day at work. I guess I'm supposed to be scared and owned as 50 oppressed cleaning ladies step off the bus, thinking they are all Chapo Guzman.

      In summary: :libs-owned:

That's very similar to how conservatives talk about the migrants in my Central American country. The argument is that they're low-lifes who spread crime and drugs wherever they go. There's a lot of popular support to have the police and military forcefully deport them because of it.

It's hypocrisy mongering as far as I can tell. The implication is Harris will use force to remove the immigrants from around her house, instead of letting them inside to live there. A common conservative retort to believing immigrants are people is "would you let them in your house?"

The idea there is if you don't want strangers in your house, this somehow translates to not wanting immigrants in your country. There's also an implication immigrants simply are not human and only cause problems.

I've been overhearing conservative hogs at work laugh about this all day, saying stuff like "now they're her problem!" Because immigrants existing near you is somehow an implicit problem to solve.

I think it was a cushvlog that said this, all politicians now can do these days is react to the “news” or generate their own “news”. Abbott’s billion+ dollar “border mission” has proven him impotent so all hot wheels can do is offer to put a bunch of Venezuelans on a bus. This is all about Fox News talking points, that’s it

Its going to happen whether we POG at it or not and a lot of people on this site will end up dead because of collapse, might as well have some gallows humor about it now before the MAGA water-enforcers come and gun down a guy for being 2 shades too dark and drinking his allotted .5 of a solo cup of water in the street

I want the US to collapse, I will work towards it, I will laugh at some of it. I really do not think "Oh boy, I hope things get worse for immigrants" is a cool sentiment.

Someone was saying "oh boy, the government can no longer support the incredibly low level of protections available to illegal immigrants. Let's hope they keep losing this kind of power." There is no other possible reading.
