beginning to think the idea of essential gender is false, and actually we all just have things we like and identify with more and due to cultural association it tends to be along gender lines, which leads to both trans people who are forced into the wrong side of the gender line and non-binary people who explicitly don’t fall on either side

I mean there’s SOME sort of like internal feminine/masculine/non-binary self but it’s different from patriarchal gender and is more about internal (or I guess spiritual sometimes) identity. And for some people it’s none of the things I mentioned and it’s more like, an internal sense of being a communist or a Gamer or a fursuiter. Or like multiple things at once (which is most people probably)
