It's still shocking the Ghost Stories dub was allowed to happen haha

Fmab has a lot of good voice acting but the dubs for Ed and Al really grate me

I find the BBC dub of Urusei Yatsura oddly compelling https://youtu.be/OTHjRu92668

My real answer is prolly something boring like Cowboy Bebop

Feel like shouting out the 86 dub. The quiet edgy teen leader could have been really bad, but I very much enjoyed the character and I think it's just down to the performance. Definitely didn't hit the same when they changed VA.

Steins;gate , no contest. In seriousness, I recall that it was actually pretty good, particularly around slang and cultural references.

It is problematic as fuck, but honestly I still find it funny in the same way that I still find early South Park funny.

Have you seen all of ghost stories or just the highlights on YouTube? The entire thing get boring and grating pretty quickly

Also even if it was good the fact that the dub people took a giant shit on other people's work without permission and then spread lies in the English fandom that they were told by the Japanese to do whatever they want and that the show didn't do well in Japan (both not true) to justify their bs is bad enough.

Not an attack on people that like it but the dub it has a pretty shitty history behind it and the fake narratives that justify why it's ok that it exists are sadly still dominating

The Kaguya-sama love is war dub. I didn't know it was famous, I just wanted to watch the show without constantly glancing at the bottom of the screen. Got a delightful experience.

Hmm the easy answer would be Bebop, though I really like the .hack//Sign dub (I wouldn't feel comfortable calling it the best of all time though, just my favorit)
