It’s definitely meant to help you walk your bike up or down the stairs but it’s funny to imagine riding that rail

When you’re infrastructure is designed by downhill mountain bikers

      That's the stair part though

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to put your bike on the rail while you walk down the steps so it doesn't justle around.

Unless ya'll are intending to bomb down that thing, in which case I beg you to recall that America doesn't have healthcare.

If you weren't already grinding down the handrails can you really call yourself a biker?

Saw a ton of these all over (and in use!) in Japan. They're really useful for navigating your bike through actual pedestrian infrastructure.

These are actually quite useful, see them a lot in the netherlands where you have to go from a canal bank up onto a bridge and you've missed the bike lane turn off.

Get off your bike, fit the wheels to the groove, and haul.

Absolute pain to haul an ebike up one though

You get off the bike, put the wheels in the grooved pipe, and walk it down.
