they literally sit on top of the rest of the body, account for 25% of resting body glucose consumption by themselves, and don't actually do anything except order other parts of the body around and infecting themselves with idealist constructs like 'language' and 'consciousness' just so that they can better convince themselves and the rest of the body that they're the most important organs around.

Steban, the Student Communist - The young man gives you a slightly confused look, as though he's sure you asked something else and he simply misheard.

Volition - No, he heard you crystal clear.

Echo Maker - "He wants to know if brains are bourgeois, Steban..."

In old german literature there’s the idea of the bourgeois brain, which is basically just when a character was invested in bourgeois philosophy. In German, bourgeois can be translated to bürger.

    Literally burger brain

    Good morning, :brainworms: your honor

The crown will plainly show the prisoner who now stands before you :galaxy-brain:

Was caught red-handed showing FEELINGS :kombucha-disgust:

Showing FEELINGS of an almost... human nature :disgost:

    This will not do!

I thought it couldn't get worse than the unironic :im-doing-my-part: people, but that's another level of willful ignorance, especially with Roger Waters' political stances since.

It's pretty fucking wild that some hydrogen cooled down and now we've got to deal with fascism and white supremacy and gender oppression and fucking covid while also trying to keep our incredibly precarious homeostasis by ingesting water and carbohydrates and protein but also we have emotions and empathy so we feel terrible about all the horrible shit we see happening around us, and also our very complex meat sack is slowly succumbing to entropy and falling apart and the process is totally irrevocable and will make your experience of existing worse and more painful every day until you can no longer maintain homeostasis and the other organisms living inside you will multiple out of control and turn you back in to the soup from whence ye came.

And some people think this is all caused by some intelligent magic person, and because they are delusional they think this magic person is "Good".
