We have never seen a party literally trying to repress the vote, miscount the vote, purge the vote, intimidate precinct worker volunteers, and steal elections.

you'd think Nader would have heard of Bleeding Kansas or Reconstruction but he's a liberal with no object permanence apparently

Jim Crow was all about suppressing the vote to ensure white dominance. But Americans, for some reason, have no historical memory what so ever.

Someone was talking about how weird it is that American's don't like masks and won't wear masks in public and I was like "Dude. It's because of the Klan. Americans don't like or trust masks because of the Klan."

Be a bit more respectful, these proud warriors are standing by 24/7, ready to :vote: anytime duty calls.

Again as always, if this is really so serious to these people what do they want to do?

The danger is that they will make voting impossible or useless because its manipulated, and the solution is to vote so hard they can't manipulate it enough for every single election until they independently become better and decide to stop doing it?

It clearly just doesn't add up if you think about it, big scam.

Oh yeah it's just silly. But they're so, so, so deeply indoctrinated to believe that voting and passive protests are the only tools available that they just cannot conceptualize doing anything else. They're totally shackled to the limits of their worldview.

Bourgeois democratic instutions are failing under the weight of their contradictions, there is a cohort that benefits from those institutions and its significant, they cannot imagine change and so hope that by some massive vibe shift they can bring back the good ol days (now the 90s to 00s or the imaginary 50s it youre a particular type of chud)

Interestingly, many trade unionists were more than happy to throw communists under the bus once McCarthy tightened the vise. Thirty years later...

Ralph Nader, the legendary consumer advocate and former Green Party presidential candidate, has a message for the Democrats: Crush the GOP in 2022.

    :sicko-wholesome:

Nader and Green believe a rapid retooling of Democratic candidates' messaging could have a dramatic effect on the outcome of the midterm elections.

I saw this in the wild today. Someone on twitter posted "It's so nice we don't have right wing attacks in Portland anymore". One of the replies was "Now we have to get rid of Antifa". "But Antifa is the reason we don't have fascists anymore" "Yes, but I can't stand the graffiti and vandalism!"

It took a Herculean effort by Bourgeois progressives to get that welfare state up in the first place. Given how thoroughly marginalized they are now, I don't see a repeat, for better or for worse.

        :bloomer: Contradictions!

        :doomer: ...Barbarism it is then.

The liberals talk as if they were not part of the same apparatus as the crypto-fascists in the first place.
