from what i understand of british tabloid culture the telegraph is likely frustrated that they couldn't find an og scion of nazi germany to play romeo
the phrasing makes it seem like the casting call didn't explicitly mention they were looking for Jewish actors, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's also the case that they didn't cast any.
