Not surprised but the hypocrisy is just infuriating, even if we all saw it coming from a mile away :agony-shivering:

You can just go on twitter and tell the sitting president(‘s interns) that he’s a piece of shit and you hope he dies. It’s free! :the-more-you-know:

But you couldn't ask congress to pass an agreement that the workers found favorable to end the potential rail strike? It needs to be the dog shit one written by the companies and the yellow union leadership? Pro labor my ass

Yes, Congress can just pass a more favorable agreement. Or they can pass a law saying that striking is illegal.

They could also pass a law mandating a certain minimum of paid sick leave. For some reason he's not asking them to do that, either.

Work, slaves! Work! How dare you ask for the most basic workers protections and the smallest possible amount of dignity! Don't you know that adequate staffing to cover absences would infinitesimally reduce the corporation's profits? What are you some kind of commie Satanist? Don't you know that profits are sacred? Get back to work before we chain you to the locomotive!

i hope they strike and just absolutely gangfuck the american holiday season's planned treatopia. if you have a few spare extra bucks in your pocket, load up on dry rice and beans now so you can potluck with/feed neighbors or some shit and yell your support of the striking workers with a full belly. make your friends/family some art for xmas. buy nothing and laugh with each other until your stomach hurts to keep warm in the dark. this time of year is not about treats, it's about togetherness on cold, gloomy days and if history is any guide, that can be found and shared without much money.

But Brandon, what if I want my holiday treat to be the rail workers getting their labor conditions improved? On their terms? What then?
