I mentioned this in another thread, but the worst take I've heard this month, possibly ever, is from a coworker. There was a workplace trivia email thing, the answer was Nelson Mandela. Coworker didn't recognize the name, so I explained who Mandela was, used the word apartheid, so coworker asked me to define apartheid too. I called it something like "a brutal system of racial segregation where black people were forced into poverty and put into schools that purposefully didn't work." I said something about barbed wire around the white neighborhoods in South Africa too.
Coworker said "We need that here, now."
Yeah my company outsources HR and the person in charge of hiring/firing in my department is the racist's aunt. And she's more racist than he is. I live in Texas and people like this are normal here. :agony-deep:
Coworker said “We need that here, now.”
This person needs a wall:stalin-gun-1::stalin-gun-2:
When I was in kindergarten I didn’t know what the word “tardy” meant at some point I just knew it was bad and I told some kid he was “being tardy” bc he was being an asshole.
"there is no excuse to not have a job and home this day and age"
My mother in law is mad at the entire nation of China because those [slur redacted] accidentally shipped her the wrong item.
Is that the "Antideutsche" ideology bleeding into some people? There's a very confusing current in some parts of Germany where they want German culture and ideology to be erased, they call themselves communists, and they...really like Israel too.
germany shouldn't be allowed to be a country =/= kill all germans. subdivide them into the lil statelets they had from before 1871. its pissing in the wind now but back in '45 that would've been the right move, along with carving a jewish state outta former german territory
:GDR: What if I only feel that way about the western half? :GDR-emblem:
99% of the people responsible for the holocaust are dead so what would even be the point?
the only thing stalin did wrong was give her an education :stalin-bummed:
I went through Sameera Khan's twitter today and felt like I was getting dumber by the minute
Just yesterday I was listening to NPR and we got to hear a summary of the recent disasters and torments visited upon Haiti... given by a journalist living in Miami, FL. It was about a shitty as you think, and mentioned nothing about about WHY Haiti was so poor and dominated by bad politics in the first place.
the CPC would shoot all the protestors, on like the first day the national news started covering it
I’ve been off Facebook and Twitter for five days now… please, please hold your applause. The wildest thing I’ve heard since then is a coworker complaining that the Hulu series “The Bear” is bad because it’s too long and includes too much backstory.
Not this month but I'll never forget a youtube video I watched where the creator unironically insisted that world war 2 didn't happen.
So you claim to be a socialist, yet you oppose the government's plans to abolish a public holiday introduced by a king. Curious.
:very-intelligent:
Probably anything said by my supervisor who thinks highly of blockchain and negatively of the government (but in a very libertarian way instead of a leftist one)
