According to the Global Times, reporting responsibilities are moving from the Health Commission to the CDC. I get that Global Times is pro-China, but maybe the West is just bullshitting again.
I don't read Chinese, but it looks like the Chinese CDC is in fact publishing covid numbers

And here's the old announcement from the Health Commission website. It looks exactly the same as the one on the CDC webpage. Except of course the dates and numbers are different. I'm 100% sure now that the story is US propaganda.
Most people I know thought they were faking their low numbers for years because of how successful they were. This really sucks
