To be fair, Offutt AFB, Nebraska is infested with Neo Nazis and tons of corruption and crime. How the hell else do you explain the B-2 bomber program?

honestly it's this kind of shit that makes me think that a Trump presidency would have resulted in a swifter end to the war. Obviously the media wouldn't have been against it, but they wouldn't have been such direct mouthpieces for the pentagon.

try me dude, mozambique is (or maybe only was, years back when i learned this) the only country with a modern weapon on its national flag. not only can i show it to you on a map, i can give you dubiously sourced fun facts about it

Joke's on you, I spent the 90s strapped to a chair with my eyes toothpicked open and "Yakko's Countries of the World" playing on repeat on VHS in front of me.

My guess is they thought "well, if the government and media care about Ukraine so much, it must be close to the US"

And this is probably one of the few times they've even looked at a map and considered where other countries are located.

Is this the exact map that was presented to survey respondents? The weird vertical rift running through Bangladesh tells me that that was the edge of the map given to respondents (i.e. it was one of those "North America in the middle, Asia cut in half" maps) and those always throw people off a bit, although obviously not enough to fully explain what's happening here.
