Cuba's popularity with the soft left is probably the best way for China's image to be changed. Hope they step things up a notch and Cuba starts putting out plenty of things that oppose western propaganda about China in order to push against narratives.
Hey, keep posting this stuff cause it gets to someone. I used to be that guy, soft left and liked Cuba but not the others much, and seeing these kind of things is exactly what opened me up.
Cuba starts putting out plenty of things that oppose western propaganda
When you look at Cuban state media or Cuban state affiliated media, I think they already do that. I don't think the soft left pays much attention to Cuban media though. Maybe they need to change approach?
How would you change your approach aside from literally investing millions of dollars that should be spent on your own citizens on getting the eyes of the completely ineffectual 'soft left' of your greatest enemy? Most advertising simply comes down to exposure time, and that costs money to game the algorithm in the U.S.
It's our job, if anyone, to persuade the soft left in the U.S.

I still remember being a radlib who believed some of the lies about China but even then I loved and supported Cuba and I would never believe a single imperialist lie about their revolution
Come on, US! You can't let the malicious CCP show you up like this. Make a $200 million donation to Cuba already!
Nooo you don't understand the only way to help poor countries is to provide them sketchy IMF loans, and then absolutely destroy their social safety nets when they can't make payments.
I'm bitter, but this is actually really great news. Lots of Ws in Cuba recently even with the redoubled embargoes under Trump.
I wonder if the geography of Cuba would make it a good candidate for high speed rail. A Havana-Santa Clara-Camaguey-Holguin-Santiago-Guantanamo corridor operating at 350km/h would link up urban centers with almost 4 million people, and the longest route would be under 3 hours of travel.
I just can't stop smiling after hearing the news, this is gonna put me in a good mood for a while
A high speed rail between China and Cuba that goes around the US
I suspect this will continue to ramp up, in a kind-of tit-for-tat, as Americans snuggle up to the Worst Taiwanese People You Know.
Blockade? Weak bullshit like that blockade won't do a damn thing if China just pumps more money into Cuba than can be drained by it
