I assume there is no racial disparity in the prison population of Massachusetts because it is a solid blue liberal state and will not be investigating further.

This could be way less optically ghoulish if they didn't have to give the donations now, and just had to be on the donor registry for a sentence reduction

That's just encouraging the prison to kill its prisoners.

Yeah, but it's Massachusetts, the Raytheon State

Half the state is ghouls and the other half is chuds

I have a friend who stopped being an organ donor after working in the transplant domain of healthcare. I thought it would have been a neat way to protest Roe V Wade's overturning to have a wave of women renege their consent for organ donation

It is absolutely inevitable that the people profiting from a for-profit organ industry will seek to create ever increasing methods of acquiring those organs. Working people to death and death camps included.

:rust-darkness: what the fuck will this country turn into as it continues it's collapse as climate change and capitalist contradictions run wild? Like for real it's one of the things that kinda keeps me up sometimes.

I'm so glad that I stopped dreaming about emigrating to America when trump got elected.

And I'm also glad that I stopped dreaming about emigrating to Europe last year.

I remember once instantly losing all respect for one of my college professors and walking out when they made a suggestion that instead of doing medical testing on animals, they should do it on prisoners.

Mind you: I identified as a fucking libertarian at the time who had no concept of how deeply screwed up and racist our justice system is, and even then warped and stupid as my politics were I had a basic understanding that you're talking about human fucking beings.

The fact that some people need this basic truth explained to them is horrifying to me.

Libertarianism is an early access ideology precisely because you can come at it from every conceivable angle. All you really need is to decide "no government would be better than this shit show" and whether you're raised Cafeteria Catholic or in a family of Maoist Third Worlders, it (initially) makes sense.

Locking people up for petty offenses and extorting them for their organs should set off every Libertarian's alarm bells. Its practically a litmus test for identifying folks who came there organically against ones who are just in it to con the true believers.

I wonder if any American propagandist wished they lived in a rival country instead, since it's far easier to make "outlandish" claims about Burgerland.

:so-true: it's a donation though, nobody's forcing them to give up their kidneys!
