Let’s just take this at face value, let’s say he’s right. Wow, cool economic system you got there, turns out if people accidentally spend money wrong it tanks the whole thing. What a victory for the concept of the free market and literally the single promise of capitalism to workers, freedom of choice. Huzzah.

If workers get raises, the whole thing crashes. If companies invest in their businesses instead of dividends, the whole thing crashes.

If everything works exactly as the system purports to function, the whole thing crashes.

If workers don't get raises and businesses do only dividends, the whole thing still crashes.

It's just how capitalist production "works"

Wow. I’m a millennial and that’s the exact face I make when I do my irresponsible internet spending to destroy the economy. Great work, Getty!

It's possible she's slapping down the last card of Exodia the Forbidden One (sleeved, of course), in which case it is an entirely reasonable expression.

It’s not accurate for zoomers. I simply light up a doobie with a hundred dollar bill like a John Woo film

"Silly liberal, the free market is perfection!"

"Silly liberal, you participated in the free market and you broke it! Investing in things while sitting on my ass doing nothing is totally fine though."

Capitalist economics is not a science.

I wish they would just acknowledge that by giving their cheerleaders kkk style titles like wizard, dragon, etc. instead of “phd”

So do we kill entire industries because we don't spend enough or do we kill the economy because we spend too much? Make up your minds dammit:stop-posting-amogus:

Young people are the victims, not the perpetrators. Most of them are too poor to even have spending habits outside of getting their basic needs met.

You see, I spent like $150 on music and knick knacks to make my room and daily life a little better, instead of spending $150,000 on a house. Obviously I should have just had more money to spend and a completely different lifestyle.

This is such concentrated horse shit. Worker wages can't drive inflation unless you have a situation of labor activism that cuts into profits enough to cause a capital strike, conditions which dont apply here. Spending is hard capped at how much a worker can demand and will eventually equilibriate once prices rise to drive that demand down, you only have so much money. Pure stupid.
