I think for a lot of them it's more that they don't recognize their emotions as emotions, because they've convinced themselves that their very powerful big-boy brains operate entirely on rEaSoN aNd loGiC
They feel shame all right but typically can't process or accept guilt for specific things. A lot of their conformity seeking among fellow creeps is to try to escape feelings of shame.
As for love; well... they may have a definition of it that is so alien and horrifying that it's for the best if they don't get what they want. :kombucha-disgust:
