Apparently the question asked was: "What do I do if my girlfriend is dumb?"

My jaw dropped multiple times reading this. Just holy shit, dude. I felt like the only way to regain any sanity afterwards was to share it here to let Hexbear roast this loser.

Half of these "suggestions" are just how you'd treat a pet.

Really, everything you need to know about the folks on :reddit-logo:

The avatar even has a fedora. You can't convince me half the power lanyard PMC dorks that infest places like reddit and quora even feel emotions like shame or love.

I think for a lot of them it's more that they don't recognize their emotions as emotions, because they've convinced themselves that their very powerful big-boy brains operate entirely on rEaSoN aNd loGiC

They feel shame all right but typically can't process or accept guilt for specific things. A lot of their conformity seeking among fellow creeps is to try to escape feelings of shame.

As for love; well... they may have a definition of it that is so alien and horrifying that it's for the best if they don't get what they want. :kombucha-disgust:

Reminds me of a dude I used to work with a few years ago, didn't think these guys actually existed irl before that.

At first I thought he was doing an (annoying) bit about being a really smart guy but turns out he just unironically believed he was the smartest person in the entire world. He also had zero respect other people, especially women, and basically thought they were AI that would always respond to situation "x" in way "y".

I worked with a guy years ago that told me he never kissed his girlfriends because that would make him a dick sucker by proxy or something. Just a couple skips in logic to the incels who claim that vaginas are permanently loosened after every different partner.

No wonder "ego insert creepy :freeze-gamer: dies and wakes up in a fantasy world with easily gamified rules that can build an infinite harem" is such a lucrative gimmick to pander with. :pathetic:

    3 years ago I had a girlfriend...for about a month

Yeah, adds up. Fucking idiot loser was just walking around treating her like she was a golden retriever and she dumped his ass because she's smart.

Or she was dumb and could still tell the difference between being treated like a person vs. a pet

What I'm saying is that the fact she managed to get out of that relationship within a month shows smarts. Either way she's leagues smarter than this moron.

Do not take for granted that you mean more to her than the pets: in fact, most of the time, you do not.

GOOD. Why should it be any different for anyone in a relationship with such a creepy "Rationalist" gentlesir that already considers any "dumb" feeemale to be a pet to manipulate and lie to? :guts-rage:

Half of it is basic social advice

About lying and being deceptive to score temporary social points with objects of contempt? :lea-why:

I think GonzoBonzo means the points that boil down to:

        • Read the room when you're talking. Know your audience. Maybe if you're meeting people for the first time, busting out your knowledge of how being able to accurately calculate catenary curves is critical to some types of civil engineering (such as designing suspension bridges) isn't a great conversation starter.

        • Remember that body language matters. Often more than what you say.

        • Little things matter. A small random gift sometimes says a lot more about your feelings than the gift itself.

        • Be kind to people that are important to your partner. This includes their pets!

... minus the weirdo creeper :libertarian-approaching: way it's framed. :yikes:

always in an optimistic manner (especially assure her that there indeed is a life after death, that psychopaths, sociopaths and narcissists will go to hell and neurotypicals will go to heaven

That's very particular and specific for that euphoric logical gentlesir to bring up, the kind that was looking up "dark triad" traits and LARPing them to try to get laid some years past! :sus-soviet:

Also, you're either a narcissist, psychopath or sociopath or you are neurotypical.
