At least Obama had the decency to lie about "hope" and "change" and at least pretend to believe a better world was possible. There isn't a single elected official in the whole of the United States who believes in anything. To admit to believing in an ideology, any ideology, in the United States is tantamount to admitting to being a member of ISIS or the KKK. If you even want a shot at putting just a single finger on one of the levers of power in this country you have to pretend that the system under which we all live and operate is the result of natural selection or divine inspiration, immutable but for some minor tweaks.
