The mystery of his disappearance has been solved
He explained on Majority Report stream today he was at the library of congress and became trapped when a tall stack of books fell on top of him. Understandable if you ask me.
No, the two floppy disks were the backup they stored in building 7
Virgil was trying to steal the Declaration of Independence?
He was finally taking the time to find out who Lev Parnas is. Unfortunately he was trapped under bookcase just like Captain Murphy under the Bebop Cola machine and never got his answer. The funniest part about this bit on the Majority Report is how long Virgil took to tell the story while Sam was visibly displeased and unamused by Virgil's japes.
@Beatnik is gonna hit me with a stick when he sees this comment.
Totally hypothetical question that has nothing to do with any plans discussed whatsoever: If you made a chapo version of /r/iama, what would you name it and why?
He apparently even reached out to an unspecified mod of r/CTH for a new badfaith sub (that has been banned instantly). This implies a fair amount of knowledge of the old sub lol.
If so then how sad would it be that it immediately surpassed basically every NPR politics pod in popularity within a week lol. Like Virgil got Briahna as a co-host, booked Pulitzer Prize winners and former Young Turks stars just so we could get our subreddit back lol
Also it’s pretty bullshit given how the conservative cockroaches can just scurry into other subreddits with no issue. Bad Faith is literally a left leaning politics show that is hosted by the press secretary of one of the top 5 most popular politicians in America
Reddit's reactions against us prove what they could be doing to fascists, but refuse to do.
I'm pretty sure reddit has made it so that any new sub made by a former chapo poster gets deleted for ban evasion.
This reminds me from a riff in the discord VC the day chapo got banned where someone suggested making a subreddit about a podcast that didn’t exist and making up fake drama about the hosts
I feel like there's some good bit potential in setting up a fake Senate re-election campaign subreddit for Republican Idaho US Senator Mike Crapo, calling it Crapo Chap House, and complaining to Sen. Crapo on Twitter when Reddit admins immediately ban it.
So that's interesting -- I left a comment on the stickied thread, and it doesn't show up in my comment history on my profile. It also doesn't show the thread's karma score in my recently viewed history.
Already shadowbanned, or am I paranoid?
Edit: It looks like any comments from the stickied thread don't show up in the users' histories. I guess this is just a thing with announcement posts, since comments on the other threads show up as expected.
Edit 2: Aaaaaand it's gone. Holy shit.
I made https://www.reddit.com/r/DessertStormCardgame/ a week ago and it's still up.
I just made a sub, going to leave it and see what happens
Says there's already 4 users there, freaky
They put the same thing up when we started /r/TheMichelleObamaPodcast
They can acknowledge how good the sub was for their podcast and want to replicate it with Bad Faith.
i posted about it between the time it was made no-longer-private and the time it was banned (apparently a very small window of time) but i'm not virgil sadly
but i’m not virgil sadly
What if the real Virgil was the banned subreddits we made along the way?
wow reddit fucking banned r/badfaithpod
https://www.reddit.com/r/badfaithpod/
Yeah, there's r/basedfaithpod, which is operated by someone on here, but noone posts there
if they ban this subreddit too, i think there's grounds that reddit finds podcast subreddits against their policy.
:crab-party: :crab-party: :crab-party: r/Friendsofthepod IS GONE :crab-party: :crab-party: :crab-party:
Virgil, get Matt to post feet and ass on here. Thank you in Advance.
I can't seem to find Virgil in old photographs of him and Will :curious-sickle:
tbh i always kinda liked that the hosts didn't like the reddit. look at any reddit dedicated to something where the creators post on it, they're always terrible. it's what made the reddit slightly less terrible.
the factorio sub is good and the devs go into it every now and then or at least they used to.
