Conor Kennedy, JFK's great-grandson (Robert F Kennedy Jr's son), was a senior in highschool at the time, and coping with his mom's suicide a couple months prior. Apparently Taylor was a "shoulder to cry on," and they got together. She even went on a date with him to visit his mom's gravestone, after they were together for a month, so kinda a weird dynamic there.
After dating for not very long (I think a few weeks), she bought a house near the Kennedy compound, which Conor's friend said he was extremely surprised and nervous about. Then they broke up, and she later sold the house and wrote a song about how he broke her heart lmao.
When they were dating she also crashed a Kennedy family wedding with Conor after not being invited, and the mother of the bride ordered them to leave multiple times. So I guess the family didn't like them together very much
