They're literally always planning for war. That's their entire job. The "pivot to Asia" suggests the DoD is effectively giving up on the Middle East and looking for a new theater to piss away trillions. But the very fact that we're talking about doing jungle warfare makes it sound more like Americans want to invade Myanmar or Malyasia than Beijing or Shanghai.

I get very LARPish imagery. A bunch of pencil-necked white boys covered in grease paint, running through a park in upstate New York while pretending to be Rambo.
There's this fanciful notion that Americans are just better at war than the humble peasant farmers of the Far East. So we'll send all our guys into boot camp and they'll come out as Elite Super Warriors who can each single-handed take on a hundred Chinese infantrymen. It just has the stink of delusion all over it, which makes this shit very funny.
Without even trying to find the video, I'm guessing this is some bullshit about the army's jungle warfare school in Hawaii, which trains like 2 dozen soldiers at a time to do shit like tying knots, rappelling, orienteering, and other basic outdoors shit but in a rain forest environment. So, this is supposed to be an indicator of how the army is training for war for China? Like bruh, this is fucking boy scout summer camp but for marginally grown-ass adults
