W MEN
In a stand-up comedy performance released as a Christmas 2021 Netflix special titled His Dark Material, Carr said that a "positive" of the Holocaust was the genocide of thousands of "Gy***s" by Nazi Germany.

No wonder they spend most of their time on Reddit harshly criticizing Americans. It's pure psychological projection.
(Jerry Seinfeld voice)
"Women, they like men but to be woohed!" You awooga, she awooga, yo mama awooga" (shitty baseline) (babummumbumdadum wa waa dubbadub ba) Fellas, I don't make the rules, SPEAKING OF RULES, women can you ease up on it? (an elaborate Monsters Inc. door bit)
(Kramer comes in cumming)
JERRY, this patriarchy, it's really kicking my ass! (Jerry sighs) Only you can somehow find yourself in the wrong side of the patriarchy.
George: Jerry can you keep it down I'm tryin reddit over here.
Jerry: You fucking disgust me George.
Kramer: Woah woah jerr, you're sounding like a Chinese shill.
Elaine: This bit is dedicated to the brave Mujahideen fighters Of Afghanistan.
Newman: Ahmen, and zoo-E-mama too.
[CW: animal abuse]
I got this on my feed too. I have a bunch of ad blocking, cookie blocking, and other shit that blocks personalization stuff on websites so I get to see the horrible shit a fresh youtube recommends. Highlights include "women being humiliated" style videos, shock content involving animals (live feeding videos, deformed animals, hurt animals, etc), Jordan Peterson, sigma grind set shit, gross shit like pimple popping, lots of SEO face and Mr. Beast, Christain conspiracy videos about ancient aliens and shit...
Youtube is horrible. A cognigohazard. It's bad, folks.
Personally, I think it's intentional to make people want to turn on personalization features and stop blocking their algos.
Mine's usually pretty alright, mostly just nerd shit but these types of vids do crop up occasionally. it always feels out of place.
Wranglerstar t
fucking lol forgot about that guy, one of my favorite internet dorks to observe
I watch nothing but first thought, gerald horne, and videos of people (not journalists) either visiting China or living there, so my feed is fine.
Bud Lite used to be the working man's beer. It's noble of them to take a huge loss like that just to promote something healthy. /r/hailcorporate
You really have to use Youtube's subscription services and like feature. When you start liking things, you get more of them. When you subscribe to channels, you go to your subscriptions list and find out what delightful creations have been prepared for you today. If you're logged out...well yeah you're going to get a bunch of random crap.
It's actually pretty cool how "the algorithm" will dig up things you might like. I've found some really good channels that lack discoverability. 500 subscribers, totally specialized in what I like. It's how I found this channel , which is just marvelous. Or this one, which doesn't update often but when it does it's super interesting, and if you're not subscribed you'll either miss when they upload or forget about them since it's been so long.
You don't "give" them data. It's an exchange. You're not getting ripped off, you get their services which are not useless. For example, I just got recommended this video , which is right in my wheelhouse. I have a fascination with disaster stuff, and the creator is some dull safety regulatory agency which I would never ordinarily be interested in. But this video is awesome. It is well-produced, interesting, explains exactly what went on and why according to the final report, and I would have never found it if not for liking and subscribing to other channels.
An exchange on their terms following the rules they wrote which arranges and incentivizes the creation of information according to their financial and material interests.
Well, you're certainly free not to participate if you don't want. Have fun with your random homepage of weird videos instead of following all these awesome creators and having tons of free entertainment. It's better than any streaming service because it's all done by people. The "you" in Youtube.
I don't think the ability to personalize your page makes the fact that the default homepage is feeding people this shit any better.
Youtube shapes the public sphere whether I watch it or not. I am not free to withdraw my participation from the corporate hegemony over the flows of information in society.
yeah circumcision is the norm in the US but much less common in Britain and Europe
Britain's actual mutually assured destruction plan is to release Jimmy Carr onto the rest of the world
Comedian: Wamen bad
Audience: hahahahahahaahahaha this is so funny and true :grillman:
Are there any comedians aside from Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds who aren’t genocidal lunatics?
Stavros is solid
John mulaney is at best passively transphobic tho. And overall just keeps showing us he's a bad person. :(
Joe Lycett seems alright.
He also did a documentary on capitalist greenwashing a couple of years back.
I believe this was intentional as some groups refer to themselves with this term and prefer it. Slur sometimes, other times preferred. Kinda messy but it is what it is.
lowkey wish the tslur was here cause i refer to myself as a dumb tslur all the time, but obviously figuring out who gets the tslur pass would be a logistical nightmare. imo the worst thing to call a trans person is t**p, its actually the only thing ive been called by other people to my face, ive never been called a tslur except by trans friends
edit: actually i have been called a sheslur and ladyslur before, those suck a lot too :kombucha-disgust:
As in, refer to their group, not individual? Like some Native Americans do with Indian? That I get, then it's different from e.g. the nword and f-slur in that usage.
Certain groups of "travelers" (I'll use this term as some are roma, some are not) will use gypsy to refer to themselves, and ask others to do so. They use it for their group and individuals within the group.
I think the appropriate way to use it is to treat it the same way we do pronouns - asking what they prefer and using what they prefer. I simply use neutral ones until told, this avoids any accidental misuse referring to the people who consider it a slur incorrectly.
I could not figure out what the censored word was and was like wait is girlies a slur now?
This makes more sense
