If Destiny is telling his massive audience that BLM should be shot up, why does that not make him a fascist?

Because words have meanings. His stance is very much like the existing stance of the neoliberal state. He's not calling for ethnic cleansing, he is just saying the protests which threaten property must be violently put down because, as a member of the propertied class, he views property as sacred. The racial dynamics of the protest are completely secondary to that basic sanctity of capital.

Fascism is for people who don't hate capitalists but aren't nearly as aggrieved on their behalf as liberals, so a racial or religious or other cultural mythology is added to motivate them to create a paramilitary basis for a takeover by forces who will do purging at least somewhat in accordance with that mythology.

Fair, I don't know anything about Destiny so I was just going off what you said about the BLM thing and totally thought it was just a racial issue

because liberals have ideological reasons to want protestors dead and their reasons are different from those of fascists. it's important to keep track of the difference because you need different tools to fight each of them.

I'm gonna be real with you, I know nothing about Destiny and assumed it was for fascist reasons because I vaguely remember him being racist against black people

he's turbo liberal. he vocally puts the lie to liberal universalism. but he's definitely committed to liberalism as a project.

has been for years. he started the whole debatebro thing on twitch, and funny-clown-hammer man is originally from his community. Hasan was briefly friends with him, Contrapoints went on his show repeatedly, etc., back when everyone thought he was just kind of new to the left.
