Every “non biased” outlet is, without a single exception, completely interchangeable with “state department mouthpiece”

Best part of this one in particular is that its supposed to be "AI generated" news. Good to see that it can be trained to have an imperialist bias, looking forward to more "non-biased" AI generated contentyea

All France has to do to avoid this shitshow is give Niger its fair share of the wealth extracted from their country.

Thanks for coming down to the Funny Bone tonight, folks! Be sure to tip your waiter. I'll be performing at the Chuckle Hut next thursday at 7pm, hope to see you there!

The Wagner angle is very interesting. It casts their recent mutiny in a bit of a new light. I wonder whether Wagner is being sent to a far-off quagmire to remove a politically popular but inconvenient leader from play, or if Putin wouldn't let them off the leash so far away from home in a sensitive region without confidence in their loyalty.

Either way, France and the EU can fuck off and buy their uranium at fair market value like everyone else. Solidarity with the people of Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

This is their reward for being good bullet sponges. Going from being the frontline troops in a modern battlefield to advising and playing a support role in an under developed colonial country.

It's basically a return to form for them and their presence tends to relax Western aggression for fear of pissing off Russia by dropping bombs on their citizens.

The US killed like 100 of them in Syria and it almost caused a major diplomatic incident and gave Putin some chips to play against NATO during the conflict.

Nigeria is currently on the track to become the regional most important country and its trajectory makes it so that it might become one of the most important economies in the world in a few decades. Regionally if they do indeed do with military means secure political positions in surrounding countries they might - with all the faults of regionalism - become aching to something like a regional hegemon.

But it's in US interests for Niger to be under the control of anti French and anti European leadership. The whole point of the Ukraine war is to screw Europe over, France losing it's ability to steal uranium from Niger would make the energy crisis worse in Europe and play into US hands.
