Even though Trump just lies and everyone knows he lies, he does sell people what feels like a kind of political agency. ‘You want a good economy? - I’ll give you a good economy. You want no war? - I’ll give you no war,’ etc. Whereas Biden takes a ‘don’t even worry about it, the adults are in the room, we’re sorting it out, and lucky for you’ kind of approach. That approach doesn’t work if you wheel out a bumbling incoherent old man as it’s representative, on the contrary it’ll make a lot of people very nervous. Trump really picked up on this too when he said that Biden was sleepwalking everyone toward WW3. I think Biden is done for.

he said that Biden was sleepwalking everyone toward WW3

This might have been the most convincing thing I've ever heard come out of his mouth.

Trying to decide if "we finally beat medicare" was just incoherent senile rambling or an actual Freudian slip.

I can't even figure out what the point he was attempting to make might have been.

I watched the debate and when I opened this video I was kind of surprised that I didn't even remember this moment. I went and found his full answer, and now I do remember it. I turned to my wife after he finished this line and told her that I am incapable of focusing through an entire fifteen-second sentence if he backtracks and corrects himself so many times that it turns into a forty-second sentence.

I wonder how many other viewers missed how spectacularly awful the second half of this response was because the first half was bad enough to stop paying attention before it got worse.

Also, I'm not even convinced he was finished speaking when the moderator said "Thank you President Biden", was the guy just putting him out of his misery?
