My auntie drinks unsweetened hot black tea with lemon, but dilutes it to about half strength with hot water after steeping. It's more like a honey amber colour than brown. I tried it and it's easier on the tum for sure.
Diluting the tea definitely helps, but I still need some biscotti or oatmeal and my tea needs to be weak and milky
