Pope Francis is the Obama Pope. He knows all the right things to say to suggest a movement in a positive direction, with no action
That's been part of catholic doctrine for centuries. Doesn't mean anything.
Doesn't mean anything.
If you don't understand what someone wrote it's ok not to respond or keep re-reading it until you do.
this is why suddenly Catholics dont give a fuck about what the pope says
RadTrads are close to making cardinal Sarah an anti-pope they hate Francis so much.
the most fervent catholics are liberation theology people, he kinda has to throw them some bones or they might split off
My in laws are Polish/Irish liberation theology Catholics. By far the best type of Christians in America.
hey now, this is shaker and quaker erasure.
last shaker community left in maine has three members okay maybe you have a point
thesis: volcel police
antithesis; volcel vanguard
synthesis: volcel police vanguard
And of course, after I post this I see it's from 2016.... still cool though I think.
I mean he is most definitely the coolest pope we've had in at least a couple centuries... if somebody is going to be at the head of a major (usually reactionary) religion, mine as well have them be somewhat of a comrade.

the catholic church has unstintingly supported (and even outright governed) many fascist regimes. It is also the world's largest pedophile ring. Literally burn the vatican to the fucking ground and piss on the ashes
If you're somewhere with no leftist orgs, having the Church as an institution to do direct action and aid through is a legitimate strategy. My youth group used to visit homeless shelters with supplies for them. It might not be ideal from a political perspective, but you're helping out those who are in most need, so I think it's as good as anything else.
That's what I'm looking at for developing mutual aid infrastructure in my area these days. Call me whatever you want, but ideological purity is less important to me than making sure everybody is fed and warm through the winter.
