yeah.. i'm so sick of people talking about 3 dimensions when it's obvious we all live in a single point in 1d space.

the fact the world obviously isn't what it appears is literally screaming in my face 24/7 but i've pathologized the rejection of said and am rewarded socially for deriding it at nearly every level of western society, so i'm better than you for sure.

Uh aktually, if I put a sheet of paper over my face, you can't say I have a face since you can't see that I have a face.

You can recognise that and still not jump to wild and unevidenced conclusions about what's behind the appearance.

God i'm being baited into this on a badposting post but not everyone is doing that? Not gonna just erase every woo idiot who does that but this discomfort and shittiness with people who believe weird shit isn't helpful for anyone. That cohort isn't some authorized punching bag, and just going off my own journey here - most people really have no ability to critically assess the truth value of the worldview they are raised into especially "dead universe" materialistic approaches - which work for what they're good at, but this is fucking enlightenment era baggage of hatred of mysticism and belief in strange shit and it is tiresome and harmful, and the society we are a part of - this western capitalist hegemony - exalts and socially rewards this behavior because it serves their hegemony to do so - as it aids in isolation and atomizing the working class and leaving the universe cold and dead sufficiently that people must turn to material commodity for meaning.

So, you're not a paragon of reason and rationality for acting like spiritual health isn't important, you're harming your mind and disconnecting yourself from your own environment. Even if your butthole clenches at the idea of faith and you can't conceptualize it outside of some off-the-shelf marxist analysis, and crystal ladies make you irrationally mad for some reason (your baggage then tbh) you're still harming your mind by not practicing meditation and mindfulness, and people who lump all non-rational practice together derisively have no goddamn idea what they're doing and usually don't even pretend to be interested in the most boring, thought terminating way, and if you want a carve out for that behavior from me, you ain't getting it lol

What about religious people who believe their fundamentalist version of an abrahamic religion is also simulation theory for some reason?

So, when a 4-day old account starts posting bait trying to start up a sitewide struggle session on here, is that technically bear-baiting?

Is simulation theory and believing in a creator not the same in so far that being unprovable is a core component of the idea? Why the disproportionate hate then, I wonder? Probably cause tech bros tend to engage in the former more than the latter, so, fair enough.
