perfect marketing, no notes. when I stepped out of the theater after seeing Jurassic World in 2015, I remember saying to myself, "oh boy I can't wait to see what those guys produce next!"
The original title was 2 Fast 2 Twister: Oklahoma Drift, but I guess test audiences don't appreciate pure kino so they changed the name.
They need to bring back "Bride of ____" style movies so we can make Sister of Twister and have Dee Snyder cameo
I thought it was a sequel because there are two twisters this time
Plot twist[er]: there's only one twister, but it looks like two because you were watching the 3D version
Yeah?
It's just another movie about helping people during tornados and then eventually sciencing a tornado away
But it has no ties to the first movie aside from involving tornados
No, they drop absorbent polymer into them and then suck all the moisture out to force it to collapse
The tv and movie industry is so clogged up with producers that think that paying for shit makes them creatives.
The movie is always shit and a flop when they pull out the “from the producers of” line
Unless it's from the producers of The Producers; then you know you're in for a wild ride
From the wizards that brought you Slingers and Slingers 2: Sling-Dingers on Patrol
I saw that too. Which is bizarre. Cause Jurassic world is a piece of shit.
It was the longest -- and worst -- Mercedes-Benz commercial to which I have ever been subjected
The trailer for the original said it was made by the creators of Jurassic park. First as a tragedy then as a farce
That's interesting because the marketing for the original Twister was "from the producers of Jurrasic Park."
That was from a time when both “Twister” and “Jurassic Park” evoked thoughts of quality movies.
Walking out of the theater like "... I think the trick would be to counter-rotate the augurs"
Same.
kinda but not really, it's being called a "standalone sequel" because the plot and characters are different but they don't acknowledge the original at all
(from what I hear, I haven't seen either film)
Gonna start calling non cannon work and fanfics "standalone sequels" to give them more credit in my head cannons.
