Remember that time over a decade ago when the Democrats became champions of LBG rights overnight because Biden accidentally told everybody Obama wanted gay marriage legalized? Joe's brain was leaking even back then.

That all sounds correct from what i remember. Obama team's official statement was that his views "evolved" on marriage equality. And it did conviently happen right before they won anyway. Total opportunist

I seem to remember a time when I felt very let down. I want to say it was around the time that Obama's second term was starting, there was a reporter asking if Obama was going to push for LGBT rights and Obama gave a pretty unambiguous "No."

TBH, Obama has almost no claim to the progressive mantel. He also urged Joe not to run in 16 to "make way for Hillary", supposedly. In a way, I'm coming to view Obama is a kind of inverted magic 8 ball where you should always do the opposite of what it says. It's bad enough that Obama urging Joe to drop out made me stop and think if I was wrong to want Joe to step down for Kamala.

I have a theory that they had some old white guy as Biden’s VP, but then he went off script during that debate and promised his VP would be a black woman, so they scrapped him and notified Kamala. The democrats are very good at selecting good candidates from a pool of millions of people lol

Stacy Abrams went on tv with Biden and very clearly thought she was about to be announced as VP, then when she realized she wasn't getting picked was just awkward for the rest of the segment

My best guess is that he wanted to say "look how they're being treated" but forgot what he was talking about mid-sentence and opted for "anyway"

I'm a bit annoyed though because it appears that part of the transcript from the Univision interview, Univision removed
