IDK, maybe when more people here are getting screwed over, libs will radicalize and get off their asses instead of trying to guilt us for not giving legitimacy unconditionally to their favorite “lesser evil” bourgeois party.

Of course, using their meager leverage to extract concessions from the people supposedly representing them never crosses their minds…

Also imagine having the audacity to call us privileged when you see what’s going on in Gaza as a “single issue” instead of an escalation of violence by the ruling class that can and will go back to us.

Half of the electorate does not vote, outnumbering all voters of any persuasion combined.

If you are scolding people about voting, start pounding pavement drumming up those votes. Doorknocking means actually listening to other people's issues and being persuasive, not being a judgemental prick blasting others in yet another moral screed.

If I hear one more liberal say single issue, I'm gonna snap. It's like saying, "Oh, you're not gonna vote for hitler just because he wants to kill all the jews and communists, when he has so many other great things planned??? Well I've never been a single issue voter.

If genocide doesn't count as an important enough deal-breaker to these people, they are soulless ghouls who don't deserve rights.

Ok, I'll be a multi issue voter then.

What has the current administration done for queer, disabled, or homeless people?

Yeah. The people I know that fit these categories are near unanimously saying Free Palestine

Exactly what I was thinking. No, Republicans aren't going to make things better for queer, disabled, and homeless people, but I was watching the Democrats with hope. My first presidential election I voted for Biden, hoping he could improve mental health care and LGBT+ rights. (and others, but these affect me personally) The party then proceeded to fail to deliver any of that. AND THEN they went to go fund and supply a genocide. Didn't know the bar could go lower but damn if it didn't get down.

Yeah, because outright saying "people don't want to vote for Biden solely because they oppose genocide" would make you sound like a ghoul

      Yeah that's the weirdest part.

He also broke the rail strike. He has concentration camps for asylum seekere at the border! He presided over the dismantling of abortion rights, and didn't use the expansive powers the court gave him to protect them. He's funneling weapons to Banderites (gotta be extra careful with this spicy one here, libs love Banderites). He was, relatedly, clearly involved in corruption in Ukraine with his kid. He didn't immediately kill, publicize and disavow the anti-vax conspiracy theory psyop he inherited from Trump.

The truth is that if he was otherwise perfect but still supported genocide, I would be a single issue voter and refuse to vote for him or for Kopmala, but I'm actually not a single issue voter, I already hated this old demonic cadaver.

I don't think Biden being a pragmatic choice is a settled matter. I haven't seen anything that implies he is a meaningful distinction on things I care about.

It's just so self-evidently argument from "I don't care about these peoples' suffering but I can tell you do so I'm going to shove them in your face so I can get what I want" that I'm amazed they think it works.

I'm friends with a good chunk of the homeless people in town and a lot of my friends who aren't homeless were for a very long time and like 4 work in shelters. When I rented a house with 2 other people our living room basically had a rotation of couch crashers so people could sleep inside, get access to a kitchen and shower. And this wasn't a charity thing, they were just friends of either me or my roommates or usually all 3. I can say with absolute certainty, for the most part homeless people don't care who's in office cause no politician has any urge to help them. Also there are some REALLY reactionary homeless people too, they're disadvantaged people, not your political bludgeon

none of those communists know a queer, disabled or homeless person

Based on the very small hexbear user base, isn't that many of us western leftists??? The rest of the self described "leftists" in the west are usually just socdems who actually fit that description much more than applies to us.

I know accelerationism might not be the best thing, but the way libs talk makes me want Trump to win.

They created the monster that is the modern GOP by voting for an innefectual "lesser evil" that bends over for the right. They supported a weak, anti-left, genocidal Democrat party that refuses to protect its people from fascism and the results is people are going to vote for the other guy because these Libs keep telling them the only thing that can do to change anything is vote.

Well if you aren't going to meaningfully fix the problems people face day to day, and tell them they can't overthrow the government, people are to say "well all I can do is vote for the other guy then."

Liberals will end up with this horrible wet clown as a president and it will be exactly what they fucking deserve.

Accelerationism is using power or influence to make conditions worse, under the assumption that worse conditions will lead to radical outcomes. We have no power or influence to begin with. What you're describing is schadenfreude.

Accelerationism itself is basically is a myth made up by liberals. It implies the left has the power to make everyone's life substantially worse on a material basis, but every indication shows whatever meager amount of power the left has at its disposal is spent on the exact opposite - things like mutual aid, labor organizing, literacy, political analysis, etc.

The idea of accelerationism goes back quite a bit more actually. For instance, marx once remarked that he will be voting in favour of free trade because it will speed up the contradictions of capitalism.

Accerlationism as making conditions worse to induce radicalise is a gibberish ideology, but accelerationism as making use of capitalism's few "progressive" tendencies is standard marxist practice. Dengism can also be viewed as the latter type of accelerationism.

It's like the 'punchline' from the shitty Joaquin Phoenix joker movie. "You get what you fucking deserve", except this time it actually is a funny punchline because they claim to not want him but do everything in their power to deserve him

Democrats will do everything the GOP will do. Half the reason for my frustrations are because, like I said, the Dems did not and will not protect queer and marginalised people.

I really should have said "almost want Trump to win" though. I was mostly being faceous. Trump winning wouldn't solve anything.

It's not hatred, it's indifference as well as an ideology that renders anyone outside their own lives as sacrificial red shirts to be used up by global capitalism. They view people the same way they view dormant oil reserves.
