Didn't at least some of the Americans also disparage their Chinese competitors after losing

How does the olympics work why are the only countries competing china, NK, Japan, and the USA no matter which of the sports I look at? Is this like the just first round elimination and then the other countries will play?

You should watch the NBC abridged coverage of the China/NK mixed doubles. Basically no winning NK points even though they kept it close the whole time. Such bad, clearly biased coverage, no love of the competition.

I love Olympic level table tennis. It's like the table is at best a decoration.

I can't find the reddit post but this exact same picture and title are floating around Facebook, LinkedIn, so it's reasonable to figure it's a pro-West troll farm posting these around wherever it can

i know it's a misinfo post, but I wanted somewhere to put these thoughts:

just the other day, the USA was celebrating it's first men's gymnastic gold medal in 16 years, with praise especially going to Stephen Nedoroscik. But you didn't hear a single peep about how 'that's not a very american last name' or 'america probably doesn't deserve that medal' like you would if he was Asian American. just a subtle bit of sino/asia-phobia that comes around every olympics (and you'll see the same for any assumed 100% white country)

I feel like on some level the US doesn't deserve the medals this team might win. I really can't put my thoughts into a reasonable form though.
